Herbal Medicine and a Whole Approach to Healing As far as I can tell, healing comes when a being, a body, a mind, a heart, is made available to receiving light. True healing comes when this light is received, and is maintained when there is a conscious choice to walk hand in hand with this vibrational Light as a daily practice. I recognize that healing is a journey, a mission, an on-going process full of rewards, learning, initiation, and beauty.
I choose to work with Herbs as conduits for love and light to come into contact with the body. I see the patient as an intricate web; a creation that brings together the spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical into one complex masterpiece. I approach that masterpiece with compassion and with the respect that it deserves.
I weave together approaches based in Traditional Chinese and Ayruvedic Medicine, as well as the spiritual and shamanic teachings that come from indigenous healing practices. In each consultation I am looking to support the innate wisdom and ability of the body to bring itself back into balance. I work with the person, not the disease. WIth this approach, small adjustments can have deep and profound effects.
The tender heart, the sound body and the clear mind. This is the instrument of spirit.
Lisa’s Story With each step that I take on my own path of healing, I learn more about what it means to truly be healed; to truly be liberated and freed from those burdens that keep us from realizing our true selves as beings of light here on Earth. Through witnessing my own healing, that of close friends and family, as well as community members and families that I have worked closely with, I have developed a deep appreciation for the true, humble miracles that take place here, every day.
From a young age, pain seemed to plague my physical body. Even then, I had a strong sense that these were things that couldn’t be healed through taking Ibuprofen, or with a quick visit to the family doctor. These were things I knew I had to feel, to be with, to see, to understand, and to have the courage to release or surrender up for transformation. It was this pain that guided me to seek various modes of healing throughout my life. It was this pain that guided me to find teachers who were truly walking the path of Healer. It was this pain that allowed me to see things about myself, and understand things about my past. And it was this pain that taught me how to pray.
This journey, which at times has been wrought with discomfort and fear, has created a little boat of understanding and experience that helps me to navigate the beautiful, flowing river of Light and Love that is Healing. From the prow of this boat, I am now at a place where I am being asked to hold space for others to experience what it means to be healed, what it means to be transformed, what it means to remember our true heart. Everyday I am being made more and more available to become the instrument of spirit that I came here to be.
I look forward to working with you soon, and holding space for the remembrance of health, strength, alignment, and Truth.
